Every De Praya bag is cut from natural leather and stitched by hand in Barcelona. With a little care, it will stay with you for years and only get better with time.

A natural material

Your bag is made from real leather, so small marks, creases or slight differences in tone are part of its character, not flaws. With use, the leather softens and develops a patina, especially on the handle and edges. That's exactly how it should age.

Everyday use

• Wait until your hands are completely dry after using hand sanitiser or hand cream before touching the leather.
• Dark leather can transfer colour to light clothing, especially when damp, and light leather can pick up colour from denim.
• Keep perfume, make-up and sharp objects away from the surface.
• Avoid overfilling your bag so it keeps its shape.

Storage

• Empty your bag and fill it lightly with tissue paper.
• Keep it in its De Praya dust bag. Never store it in plastic, as leather needs to breathe.
• Choose a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and radiators.
• Store it upright, with nothing on top.

If it gets wet

Gently blot the water with a soft, dry cloth. Never rub. Let it dry naturally at room temperature, with some dry paper inside to hold the shape. Never use a hairdryer or place it near heat.

Stains

Act quickly and blot, don't rub. Avoid household cleaners, wet wipes and solvents, as they can permanently damage lamb leather. For ink or stubborn stains, write to us before trying anything.

Nourishing the leather

Once or twice a year, apply a very small amount of neutral cream for delicate leather with a soft cloth. Always test it first on a hidden spot. Less is more.
